Pioneer Water Tanks can provide you with a tank that is equipped to handle water from most water sources, ensuring versatility and reliability for your water storage needs.
If you’re drawing water from a bore, dam, or river, it is recommended (where possible) to install the water inlet at the bottom wall of the tank. While it might seem unusual, bottom inlets provide the best performance for your water tank. If necessary, a top inlet can be used as a last resort.
For the best solution tailored to your needs, contact our consultants to discuss your options.
Top inlets can create small wave actions on the water surface when water enters the tank, which may cause splashing into the roof area. To avoid this, it’s recommended to use a bottom inlet where possible.
When filling from a bottom inlet, water is pushed into an existing volume of water, causing the levels to simply rise and fall without splashing. It may seem like a large volume of water is pushing back into the inlet, but this is not the case.
When water is sent to the top of a two-metre water tank, it creates two metres of head pressure. Similarly, if the water level inside the tank sits at one metre, you have one metre of head pressure. For each additional metre of water level, the corresponding head pressure increases accordingly.
Pioneer Water Tanks come with a comprehensive range of features, including the AQUALINER Fresh® tank liner, double fusion-welded liner seams, adaptive swivel foot roof truss connector, roof access hatch, external hook-on ladder, 80mm overflow, 80mm outlet and valve (multiple if required), and a 50mm inlet.
