Hydrostatic Water Tank Level Sensor

Pioneer’s most advanced water tank to date, the Agbot™ water tank level sensor provides accurate and affordable water tank level monitoring.

Hydrostatic pressure sensors within the tank measure your water level with high accuracy, providing multiple liquid level reads per day.  You can set SMS and or email alerts to be sent when levels are crossed.

Powered by a lithium battery, the sensor requires no external power and provides intelligent remote monitoring via a free mobile app.

Micro-satellite device equipped NEXTGEN tanks can send “set alerts” or set threshold breaches at the same time as level sends.

Cellular device equipped NEXTGEN Tanks can send set alerts or set threshold breaches hourly, or up to 24 times per day.

These incredible units are now being offered as an accessory with the new range of Pioneer® NEXTGEN Water Tanks, and can be fitted to existing water tanks – no need for that old rainwater tank gauge.

This sensor can be used with a variety of tank types and shapes, and a single sensor can be used to monitor multiple tanks that are connected and have a common level.

Pioneer® NEXTGEN Tank Installation

When deciding where to install your Pioneer® NEXTGEN water tank, it is important to understand how the Agbot™ operates. The Agbot uses radio waves or mobile connection to communicate with satellites or phone towers and must have a clear line of sight to as much sky as possible.

Physical obstacles including trees, buildings, and poles will block signals and may degrade system performance, and antennas should be mounted externally with suitable clearance where the device is housed within, or near to, metal or concrete structures.

Pioneer® NEXTGEN Smart Tank FAQs

The Agbot is designed for easy installation and activation. The installation process requires only a few tools, and the activation can be completed with or without Wi-Fi or mobile signal, using an NFC-compatible phone.

Most modern phones are equipped with NFC, which is a method of wireless data transfer called Near field communication (NFC) that detects and then enables technology to communicate without the need for a Wi-Fi connection or mobile data.

Yes, it is possible to activate the Agbot without a Wi-Fi connection or mobile signal.

The Agbot app has a feature called “Offline Mode”, which allows for activation without a Wi-Fi connection or mobile signal. This feature is useful for installations in remote areas.

The activation process can be completed offline, by turning this feature on in the app and the information will be submitted later once “Offline Mode” is disabled in the app and the phone is connected to mobile data or a Wi-Fi network.

The Agbot uses electromagnetic radio waves to communicate with the individual satellites that are part of a nano-satellite constellation. The Agbot antenna facilitates the transmission and reception of these radio waves. The Agbot calculates when these orbiting satellites will be transmitting through the section of sky visible to the Agbot antenna and transmits the messages accordingly.

The Agbot is not in contact with the satellites at all times, data is transmitted when the satellites are in view of the Agbot. Therefore, the Agbot must have a clear line of sight to as much sky as possible, in all directions, to maximise transmission opportunities.

You can set both text and email alerts in the Agbot app for the asset being monitored based on specific thresholds.

Yes, you can add more than one email address by separating each address with a comma. There are no additional fees for adding multiple email addresses.

The Pioneer NEXTGEN® Agbot does not require any regular or ongoing maintenance.

However, it may be recommended to periodically update the satellite software on the device using the Agbot app to ensure optimal performance.
